★ Store jewelry seperately

Make a few piles that separate your jewelry. You should keep costume away from silver and fine jewelry, and you should keep silver jewelry away from fine jewelry. This separation helps prevent the metals from tarnishing when they interact with one another. If you do not constantly wear your jewelry, please store your jewelry in the original package or a soft pouch to avoid scratches.

★ No Water

Before any jewelry is stored, make sure that it is clean and dry. Moisture can cause the metal to tarnish or degrade much quicker. For instance, if you wore a silver necklace in a rainstorm, be sure to dry it off before putting it back. High humidity is the main culprit that speeds up the tarnishing process on jewelry. Consider running an air conditioner or dehumidifier in the room that your jewelry is stored. You could also buy silica packets for your jewelry box to absorb excess moisture.

Next, find a spot in your home with a consistent temperature. Avoid exposing your jewelry to extreme temperatures or to sudden fluctuations in temperature. The temperature should within 0 to 60℃.

★ Clean With Soft Cloth

For extremely dirty jewelry, pour some warm water in a small bowl, and add some mild dishwashing soap. Dip a soft, lint-free cloth in the soapy water, and then gently wipe the jewelry with the damp cloth until the piece is clean. When cleaning it, rub the item along its polish lines. Do not soak your products in water.
